I'm Playing Christian Laettner in The '92 Dream Team: A Completely Fictional True Sports History

Updated: Jun 26

I’m stepping into the high socks of American hero and Duke legend Christian Laettner in The '92 Dream Team: A Completely Fictional True Sports History at Grafenberg Sketch Comedy and Improv Theater.

Green ticket reads "A Grafenberg Tirty For Tirty" with show dates. Below, a pixelated image of a group in sports jerseys with an abstract design in front.
I made this graphic too

The 1992 Olympic basketball team we all know and love overcame more than anyone could imagine. Weeks before the Barcelona Games, Michael Jordan lost the entire team’s talent in a high-stakes Pogs match with the Devil. With the fate of American basketball on the line, MJ and the gang must survive a gauntlet of the Devil’s trials—with help from none other than grunge icon Kurt Cobain. Throw in surprise celebrity cameos and a completely unverified retelling of sports history, and you’ve got something weirdly magical.

Is it a secret prequel to Space Jam? Slap on your old JNCOs and come find out.

It’s not improv. It’s not sketch comedy. But it is an hour.

Starring: Robert Abbott, Fronzo Gilkey, Anthony Crawford, Antoinette Burgess, Anthony Mokan, Justin Franzen, CJ Willard, Emily Rado, Gary John Miller, Maynard Peralta, and Jack Anderson.
