Back in 2019, The Runs — a short comedy film I acted in — was officially selected to screen at the Austin Comedy Short Film Festival. The event took place at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Lakeline and featured over 6 hours of international independent comedy content, including mockumentaries, dark comedies, and funny music videos.
This festival was such a fun platform for weird, clever, and low-budget comedy — which made it a perfect home for The Runs. It’s always a gift when small, scrappy films get to be seen in a theater, especially alongside a lineup of creators doing truly out-of-the-box work. Big thanks to the festival organizers for including us, and for giving indie comedy filmmakers a space to be a little gross, a little wild, and totally ourselves.
