Content Portfolio: "Send Noods" Web Series

Updated: Jun 27

Content Portfolio Back during my time with CTM, I had the chance to co-host a web series with a deliciously fun premise — Send Noods. The concept (originally developed by CTM) was simple and effective: try out different packaged noodle brands and give them our brutally honest reviews. From ramen classics to oddball instant noodle flavors you’d never expect, every episode was a chance to taste, laugh, and test our sodium tolerance.

I edited all of the episodes and worked closely on the production side. The tone was casual, the banter real, and the reviews authentic. I was an easy customer as I loved all of them.

This wasn't a lasting project but it was definitely a valuable one. It taught me a lesson that’s stuck with me as a creator: sometimes you have to show something before you really have something. Making a spec series like Send Noods was an exercise in proving a concept — showing tone, style, chemistry, and approach before there's even a clear path for where it might go.

We shot it low-budget, quick, and scrappy. It didn’t become a long-running series, but it served its purpose: we created a proof of concept and learned how to deliver a watchable product with limited time and resources. I’m proud of it for what it was — and what it taught me as a producer, editor, and performer.

We even took it mobile for a special episode at the Aurora Night Market, which added a fun, interactive layer to the project. That shoot showed us how a series like this could scale, shift locations, and engage with people outside a traditional set.

I’ve since shifted away from building other people’s platforms or working within agency models. Still, I’m grateful for the time I spent in the food space — it gave me firsthand insight into the unique storytelling opportunities and challenges within that industry. Every project, even the small ones, sharpened my creative instincts and helped shape the way I approach content today.
