Podcast: Food in Film with The Menu & Biker Jim

Updated: Jun 29

Back in my time as Director of Content at CTM, I co-hosted a one-off pilot for Food in Film—a show that paired cinema with cuisine, spotlighting memorable meals from movies and inviting guests to recreate them at home. We filmed just one episode, featuring The Menu alongside Jim Pittenger, the original founder of Biker Jim’s gourmet hot dogs in Denver. Jim reflected on his journey building the brand as a street‑cart legend.

We brought the film’s climactic burger scene to life in his downtown Biker Jim's location. It was ridiculous, delicious, and a blast to be a part of. Though the series didn’t get picked up for a full season, that pilot remains one of my proudest projects—melding food culture, filmmaking, and storytelling into a single, mouth-watering moment. I learned so much about producing culinary video and collaborating with fascinating guests like Biker Jim.
